GALENA HISTORY HUNT- April 27th
The Galena History Hunt is a scavenger hunt for families and friends to enjoy in downtown Galena, basking in the history of the town. There is a $500 grand prize to the winner of the scavenger hunt, and people can enter by paying $10 per scavenger map. Hunt for prizes along the way!
FOOD TRUCK FIGHT- June 4th
A brand-new event to Galena, the city will be hosting a ‘food truck fight’ where over 20 food trucks will park by Grant Park in the Depot Lot from noon- 8pm. There will be live music and entertainment, not to mention an assortment of food selections! Admission to this event is free, and more information can be found here. We’ll see you there!
GREAT GALENA BALLOON RACE- June 17th-19th
Taking place at the Eagle Ridge Resort, the Galena Balloon Race is a sight to see. There will be more than 20 hot air balloons taking off at dusk, and there will be an opportunity to learn about the hot air balloons, their history, and the mechanics behind it all. Admission is $5, cash only. Don’t miss this!
CORKLESS IN GALENA- June 25th
Corkless in Galena is a wine event for Northern Illinois, featuring live music and of course, wine! There will be tasting from multiple vineyards in the area, including the 4 vineyards that call Galena home. This will take place at Grant Park in downtown Galena from Noon-6pm.

On the Saturday before Halloween, over 30 thousand people will gather for what some say is the biggest event of the season—the Halloween Parade. GALENA COUNTRY FAIR- October 8th-9th
The biggest longstanding weekend in Galena, the Galena Country Fair has over 100 vendors in Grand Park where they will be selling handmade and fine arts along with selections of food and beverage options.
